Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 21:198

Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, from Fudayl ibn Marzuq, he said: Abu Salamah al-Juhani narrated to us, from al-Qasim ibn Abd al-Rahman, from his father, from Ibn Mas'ud, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "No servant ever says, when he is afflicted by anxiety or grief: 'O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your maidservant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your command over me is executed, and Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that is Yours, by which You have named Yourself, or which You have revealed in Your Book, or which You have taught to any of Your creation, or which You have kept hidden in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the remover of my sadness, and the departure of my anxiety,' but Allah will remove his anxiety and replace his grief with joy." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, should we learn these words?" He said: "Yes, it is fitting for whoever hears them to learn them."
