Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 21:203

Hussain bin Ali narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik, who said: Someone who saw Umar bin Abd al-Aziz standing at Arafah informed me, supplicating while pointing with his finger like this: "O Allah, increase the doers of good among the nation of Muhammad in their goodness, and return their evildoers to repentance." Then he said like this, and he moved his finger in a circle: "And forgive those who are behind them with Your mercy."
