Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 21:284

Waki’ narrated to us, from al-A’mash, from Habib, from ‘Ubayd ibn ‘Umayr, who said: If one of you intends a need, let him say: "O Allah, I seek Your counsel by Your knowledge, and I seek Your ability by Your power, and I ask You of Your bounty. For indeed, You are able and I am not able, and You know and I do not know, and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if this thing that I intend is good for me in my religion, my livelihood, and the outcome of my affairs, then facilitate it for me and bless me in it. And if other than it is better, then ordain the good for me wherever it may be, and make me content with it."
