Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 21:338

Waki’ narrated to us, from Mis’ar, from Alqama bin Marthad, from Ibn Sabit, from Mu’adh, who said: "For me to remember Allah from the early morning until the sun rises is more beloved to me than for me to mount [a horse] among the steeds in the path of Allah from the early morning until the sun rises."
