Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 21:394

Ibrahim al-Taymi narrated to us, he said: A man said in the presence of Umar, "O Allah, make me among the few." Umar said, "What is this that you are supplicating with?" The man said, "I heard Allah saying: 'And few of My servants are grateful.' So I am supplicating that He makes me among those few." Umar said, "All the people are more knowledgeable than Umar."
