Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 21:400

Muhammad ibn Fudayl narrated to us, from Abdullah al-Asadi, from a man, from Ali, that he used to say: O Allah, O Expander of the expanses, O Builder of the built things, O Stabilizer of the stabilized things, O Compeller of hearts upon their nature, the wretched among them and the happy among them, and O Extender of mercy to the God-fearing, place the noblest of Your blessings, the most growing of Your benedictions, the most compassionate of Your greetings, and the most affectionate of Your pure mercies upon Muhammad, Your servant and Your Messenger, the Opener of what was closed, the Seal of what preceded, the Opener of truth with truth, and the Crusher of the surges of falsehood. Just as You entrusted him, he undertook Your command, seeking victory in Your pleasure, not retreating from a step, nor faltering in resolve, the Guardian of Your covenant, the Executor of Your command, until he saw—that he might see—among those who reached You, aided by Your command and the causes of the guidance of hearts, after the clear signs, into the depths of tribulations, to the illuminations of the rulings. He is Your trusted one, the trusted, and Your witness on the Day of Judgment, and Your envoy as a mercy to the worlds. O Allah, expand for him an expansion with You, and give him, after his satisfaction, satisfaction from the triumph of Your resolved reward and the greatness of Your established recompense. O Allah, fulfill for him Your promise by raising him as one whose intercession is accepted, whose testimony is just, whose speech is pleasing, possessing just logic, decisive oratory, and great proof and evidence. O Allah, make us listeners, obedient, sincere allies, and accompanying companions. O Allah, convey to him peace from us, and return to us peace from him.
