Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 21:401

Ubaydah ibn Humayd narrated to us, from Abu Ja’far Muhammad al-Basri, from a man called Salim, who said: It was among the supplications of Ali: "O Allah, make me of those whose deeds You are pleased with, whose hopes You have shortened, whose life You have lengthened, and whom You have given a good life after death, and provided for. O Allah, I ask You for a bliss that does not run out, a joy that does not turn back, and the companionship of Your Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and Ibrahim in the highest part of the eternal Paradise. O Allah, grant me a passion that makes my heart tremble, my eyes shed tears, my skin shiver, my side recoil, and whose benefit I find in my heart. O Allah, purify my heart from hypocrisy, my chest from rancor, my deeds from showing off, my eyes from treachery, and my tongue from lying. Bless me in my hearing and my heart, and accept my repentance, for You are the Accepting of Repentance, the Merciful. O Allah, I seek refuge in Your Noble Face, by which the seven heavens were illuminated, by which the darkness was dispelled, and by which the affairs of the first and the last were set right, from Your anger descending upon me, or Your wrath falling upon me, or that I follow my desire without guidance from You, or that I say to those who disbelieve: 'These are better guided than those who believe as to the way.' O Allah, be kind, compassionate, and merciful to me, and attentive to my need. O Allah, forgive me, O Forgiver, and accept my repentance, O Accepter of Repentance, and have mercy on me, O Merciful, and pardon me, O Forbearing. O Allah, grant me asceticism and diligence in worship, and cause me to meet You upon a testimony whose glad tidings, truth, joy, and anxiety have preceded. O Lord, cause me to meet, at the time of death, radiance, delight, coolness of eyes, and rest in death. O Allah, grant me in my grave firmness of speech, coolness of sight, and spaciousness in my dwelling. O Allah, station me on the Day of Resurrection in a position by which You whiten my face, make firm my speech, cool my eyes, cause me to attain my wish, and look upon me with Your Face with a look by which You complete the honor in the Highest Companion in the highest of the high, for Your favor completes righteous deeds. O Allah, I am weak due to the weakness of my creation, so I have no patience; so whatever You will, I will not, so will for me that I remain upright."
