Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 21:41

Ibn Numayr narrated to us, from Fudayl ibn Ghazwan, who said: I heard Talha ibn Ubayd Allah ibn Kurayz say: I heard Umm al-Darda’ say: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "Indeed, the supplication of a person for his brother in his absence is answered. He does not supplicate for his brother with a supplication except that the angel says: 'And for you, the like of it.'"
