Hadith 21:433
Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Abu al-Duha, from Masruq, from Aisha, who said: Two men asked for permission to enter upon the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, so he spoke harshly to them and cursed them. She said: I said, "O Messenger of Allah, who has received from you any good, if these two have not received any good from you?" He said: "Do you not know what I have covenanted with my Lord?" She said to him: "And what have you covenanted with your Lord?" He said: "I said: 'O Allah, whichever believer I have cursed, or reviled, or whipped, then make it for him a forgiveness and a well-being, and such and such.'"
