Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 21:434

Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Habib, from some of his elders, who said: When a matter would come to him that pleased him, he would say: "Praise be to Allah, the Bestower of blessings, the Giver of favors, by Whose grace righteous deeds are completed." And when a matter would come to him that he disliked, he would say: "Praise be to Allah in every circumstance."
