Hadith 21:459

Ubaydah ibn Humayd narrated to us, from Husayn, who said: Ibrahim and Mujahid met, and he said: A Bedouin came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and complained to him of hunger. He said: So the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, entered his houses, then came out and said: "I did not find anything for you in the houses of the family of Muhammad." He said: While he was like that, a roasted sheep was brought to him—and the other said: A bowl of tharid (bread soaked in broth) was brought to him—and it was placed before the Bedouin. The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Eat." He said: So he ate. Then he said: "O Messenger of Allah, what befell me befell me, and Allah provided for me at your hands. So what do you see if it befalls me while I am not with you?" The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Say: 'O Allah, I ask You for Your bounty and Your mercy, for none possesses them except You,' for Allah will provide for you."
