Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 21:471

Abu Usama narrated to us, from al-Jurayri, from Abu al-Ala, from Uthman ibn Abi al-As, that he came to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, indeed the devil has come between my prayer and my recitation." He said: "That is a devil called Khanzab. So when you sense him, spit to your left three times and seek refuge in Allah from his evil."
