Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 21:473

'Abbad ibn al-'Awwam narrated to us, from Husayn, from Ibrahim, who said: There was a man among us called Hammam ibn al-Harith. He would not sleep except while sitting in his mosque during his prayer. He used to say: "O Allah, cure me of sleep with a little, and grant me wakefulness in Your obedience."
