Hadith 21:499
Narrated to us Abd al-Rahim ibn Sulayman, from Yahya ibn Sa’id, from Muhammad ibn Yahya ibn Habban, that al-Walid ibn al-Walid ibn al-Mughirah al-Makhzumi complained to the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) about a whisper of the soul that he experienced. He said to him: "When you come to your bed, say: 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger, His punishment, the evil of His servants, and from the promptings of the devils and that they should attend me.' For by the One in whose hand is my soul, nothing will harm you until you reach the morning."
حدثنا عبد الرحيم بن سليمان عن يحيى بن سعيد عن محمد بن يحيى بن حبان أن الوليد بن الوليد بن المغيرة المخزومي شكا إلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم حديث نفس وجده وأنه قال له إذا أتيت إلى فراشك فقل أعوذ بكلمات الله التامة من غضبه وعقابه وشر عباده ومن همزات الشياطين وأن يحضرون فوالذي نفسي بيده لا يضرك شيء حتى تصبح
