Hadith 21:607
Abu Khalid al-Ahmar narrated to us, from al-Awwam, that he heard Ibrahim al-Taymi saying: When he says, "Praise be to Allah" (Al-hamdu lillah) and "Glory be to Allah" (Subhan Allah), the angels say, "And with His praise" (wa bi-hamdihi). When he says, "Glory be to Allah and with His praise" (Subhan Allah wa bi-hamdihi), the angels say, "May Allah have mercy on you" (yarhamuka Allah). When he says, "Allah is the Greatest" (Allahu akbar), the angels say, "Greatly" (kabiran). When he says, "Allah is the Greatest, Greatly" (Allahu akbar kabiran), the angels say, "May Allah have mercy on you" (yarhamuka Allah). When he says, "Praise be to Allah" (Al-hamdu lillah), the angels say, "Lord of the worlds" (Rabb al-'alamin). And when he says, "Lord of the worlds" (Rabb al-'alamin), the angels say, "May Allah have mercy on you" (yarhamuka Allah).
