Isma'il ibn 'Ulayyah narrated to us, from 'Amr ibn Dinar al-Qahramani, from Salim ibn 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar, from his father, who said: "There is no man who sees someone afflicted and says, 'Praise be to Allah, who has saved me from that with which He has afflicted you, and has favored me over you and over many of His creation with a distinct favor,' except that Allah will save him from that affliction, whatever it may be."
