Hadith 21:656
Zayd ibn al-Hubab narrated to us, he said: Mu'awiyah ibn Salih narrated to us, he said: Habib ibn 'Ubayd al-Kala'i narrated to me, from Jubayr ibn Nufayr al-Hadrami, from 'Awf ibn Malik al-Ashja'i, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying over the deceased: "O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him, grant him well-being, and pardon him. Honor his abode, expand his entrance, and wash him with water, snow, and hail. Purify him from sins as a white garment is purified from filth. O Allah, replace his home with a home better than his home, his spouse with a spouse better than his spouse, and his family with a family better than his family. Admit him into Paradise and save him from the Fire," or he said, "Protect him from the punishment of the Fire." Until I wished that I were him.
