29788. Ishaq ibn Sulayman narrated to us, from Jarir, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Awf, from Ibn Luhay al-Hawzani, that he witnessed the funeral of Shurahbil ibn al-Samt. Habib ibn Maslama al-Fihri came forward to it, and he approached us as if he were overlooking us due to his height. He said: "Exert yourselves in supplication for your brother, and let it be among what you supplicate for him: 'O Allah, forgive this upright soul, and make him among those who have repented and followed Your path, and protect him from the punishment of the Hellfire.'" And seek Allah's help against your enemy.
