Hadith 21:7
Ibn Numayr narrated to us, from Humayd ibn ‘Ata’, from ‘Abdullah ibn al-Harith, from ‘Abdullah ibn Mas‘ud, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) used to say: "I seek refuge in Allah from a heart that does not humble itself, and from knowledge that does not benefit, and from a soul that is not satisfied, and from hunger, for it is an evil bedfellow."
حدثنا بن نمير عن حميد بن عطاء عن عبد الله بن الحارث عن عبد الله بن مسعود قال كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول اعوذ بالله من قلب لا يخشع وعلم لا ينفع ونفس لا تشبع ومن الجوع فإنه بئس الضجيع
