Jarir narrated to us, from Shu'bah, who said: Al-Khallas al-Sulami narrated to us, who said: I heard 'Ali ibn Jahsh say: I heard Samurah ibn Jundub, and a young son of his died, so he said: "Go and bury him, and do not pray over him, for there is no sin upon him. And supplicate to Allah for his parents that He may make him a precursor and a reward for them, or something similar."
