Hadith 21:757

Sulayman ibn Harb narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah ibn al-Hajjaj narrated to us, from Yazid ibn Khumayr, who said: I heard Abdullah ibn Busr say: The Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, came to a man, and he brought him food—sawiq (barley meal) and hays (a mixture of dates, ghee, and dried yogurt)—so he ate. Then he brought him a drink, so he drank, and he passed it to the one on his right. When he ate dates, he would cast the pits like this—and he gestured with his two fingers on their backs. He said: When the Prophet, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, mounted, my father stood up and took hold of the bridle of his mule and said: "O Messenger of Allah, supplicate for us." He said: "O Allah, bless them in what You have provided for them, forgive them, and have mercy upon them."
