Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, from Abd al-Malik ibn Abi Sulayman, from a man from the people of Basra, who said: A gift was brought to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, while Aisha was standing and praying. It pleased him that she should eat with him, so he said: "O Aisha, conclude and shorten [your prayer], and say: 'O Allah, I ask You for all good, its immediate and its delayed, and I seek refuge in You from all evil, its immediate and its delayed. And whatever decree You have decreed, bless me in it, and make its outcome lead to good.'"
