'Affan narrated to us, he said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Thabit, from 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Ubayd: That Gabriel is entrusted with needs. So when the believer asks his Lord, He says: "Hold back, hold back," out of love for his supplication, so that it may increase. And when the disbeliever asks, He says: "Give him, give him," out of hatred for his supplication.
