Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 37:126

Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from Abu Husayn, from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn Bishr, who said: A man came to ‘Abdullah and said: "When will I go astray?" He said: "When there are leaders over you who, if you obey them, they will lead you astray, and if you disobey them, they will kill you."
