Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 37:135

Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, he said: Jarir ibn Hazim narrated to us, he said: Ghaylan ibn Jarir narrated to us, from Abu Qays ibn Rabah al-Qaysi, who said: I heard Abu Hurayrah narrating from the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that he said: "Whoever abandons obedience and separates from the community, then dies, he dies a death of ignorance (Jahiliyyah). And whoever goes out under a blind banner, becoming angry for his faction, or supporting his faction, or calling to his faction, then is killed, his killing is a killing of ignorance (Jahiliyyah). And whoever goes out against my community, striking its righteous and its wicked, not sparing its believer, and not fulfilling the covenant of those who have a covenant, then he is not of me, and I am not of him."
