Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 37:139

Abu Usama narrated to us, from Abu al-Ashhab, he said: Amr ibn Ubayd narrated to us, from Thawban, he said: "The nations are about to call upon one another against you, just as those who eat call upon one another to their bowl." It was said: "Will it be because of our fewness?" He said: "Rather, you will be many, but you will be like the scum (ghutha') like the scum of a torrent. And weakness (al-wahn) will be cast into your hearts, and the fear of you will be removed from the hearts of your enemy, and the love of the worldly life will be cast into your hearts."
