Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 37:149

Abdullah ibn Idris narrated to us, from Yahya, and Ubaydullah, and Ibn Ishaq, from Ubadah ibn al-Walid ibn Ubadah ibn al-Samit, from his father, from his grandfather, who said: We pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, to listen and obey in hardship and ease, and in what we like and what we dislike, and [to accept] being bypassed [in favor of others], and that we would not dispute the authority with those who hold it, and that we would speak the truth wherever we are, not fearing for the sake of Allah the blame of any blamer.
