Hadith 37:15
'Abd al-'Aziz ibn 'Abd al-Samad al-'Ammi narrated to us, from Abu 'Imran al-Jawni, from 'Abdullah ibn al-Samit, from Abu Dharr, who said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said to me: "O Abu Dharr, what do you think if the people fight until the stones of al-Zayt are submerged in blood? How will you act?" I said: "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said: "Enter your house." I said: "Should I carry my weapon?" He said: "Then you would be participating." I said: "Then what should I do, O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "If you fear that the rays of the sun will overcome you, then cast a part of your garment over your face; he will return with your sin and his sin."
حدثنا عبد العزيز بن عبد الصمد العمي عن أبي عمران الجوني عن عبد الله بن الصامت عن أبي ذر قال قال لي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يا أبا ذر أرأيت ان اقتتل الناس حتى تغرق حجارة الزيت من الدماء كيف أنت صانع قال قلت الله ورسوله أعلم قال تدخل بيتك قال قلت أفأحمل السلاح قال إذا شاركت قال قلت فما اصنع يا رسول الله قال إن خفت أن يغلب شعاع الشمس فألق من ردائك على وجهك يبوء باثمك وإثمه
