Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 37:182

Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Shaqiq, from Hudhayfah, who said: "There is nothing between you and the evil being unleashed upon you, by leagues, except for a death upon the neck of a man who will die, and he is Umar."
