Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 37:201

Ibn ‘Uyaynah narrated to us, from Ibrahim ibn Maysarah, from Tawus, who said: The rulers were mentioned in the presence of Ibn ‘Abbas. A man among them stood up and stretched himself [to his full height] until I did not see anyone in the house taller than him. Then I heard Ibn ‘Abbas say: "Do not make yourself a trial for the wrongdoing people." So he shrank back until I did not see anyone in the house shorter than him.
