Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 37:202

Kathir ibn Hisham narrated to us, from Ja'far ibn Burqan, from Abdullah ibn Bishr, who said: Ayyub al-Sakhtiyani narrated to us, saying: Ibn Mas'ud, Sa'd, Ibn Umar, and Ammar gathered and mentioned the tribulation (fitna) of the believer. Sa'd said: "As for me, I will sit in my house and will not go out of it." Ibn Mas'ud said: "I am upon what I said." Ibn Umar said: "I have the like of that." Ammar said: "But I will go into the midst of it, and I will strike its greatest nostril."
