Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 37:222

Abu Usama narrated to us, from al-A’mash, from Shamir, from Hilal ibn Yasaf, who said: The courier who brought the head of al-Mukhtar to Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr narrated to me, saying: When I placed it before him, he said: "Ka’b never narrated a hadith to me except that I saw its verification, except for this one. For he narrated to me that a man from Thaqif would kill me, and I have shown that I am the one who killed him."
