Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 37:266

Ziyad ibn al-Rabi' narrated to us, from 'Abbad ibn Kathir al-Shami, from a woman among them who is called Fusaylah, from her father, she said: I heard my father say: I asked the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, and I said: "O Messenger of Allah, is it from tribalism (asabiyyah) that a man loves his people?" He said: "No, but it is from tribalism that a man aids his people in injustice."
