Hadith 37:27
Abu Mu’awiyah narrated to us, from al-A’mash, from Zayd ibn Wahb, from Hudhayfah, who said: "Tribulation (fitnah) has been entrusted with three: the diligent, sharp-witted one who does not want anything to rise up for him except that he suppresses it with the sword; the orator who calls people toward it; and the mentioned noble one. As for the sharp-witted one, it strikes him down. As for these two, it uproots them and tests what is with them."
حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن زيد بن وهب عن حذيفة قال وكلت الفتنة بثلاثة بالجاد النحرير الذي لا يريد ان يرتفع له شيء إلا قمعه بالسيف وبالخطيب الذي يدعو إليه الأمور وبالشريف المذكور فأما النحرير فتصرعه وأما هذان فتجثهما فتبلو ما عندهما
