Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, he said: Hisham informed us, from Muhammad, from Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakra, who said: I arrived in al-Sham. I said: "If only I could visit Abd al-Rahman ibn Amr and greet him." So I came to him and greeted him. He said to me: "Who are you?" I said: "I am Abd al-Rahman ibn Abi Bakra." He said: "The Banu Qantura are about to drive you out of the land of Iraq." I said: "Then shall we return?" He said: "Do you desire that?" I said: "Yes." He said: "Yes, and there will be for you a consolation of livelihood."
