Hadith 37:30
Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, he said: As-Salt ibn Bahram narrated to us, he said: Al-Mundhir ibn Hawdha informed us, from Kharasha, that Hudhayfah entered the mosque and passed by a group of people, some of whom were teaching others [the Quran]. He said: "If you are upon the [correct] path, then you have preceded [others] by a far precedence, but if you abandon it, then you have gone astray." He then sat with a circle [of people] and said: "We were a people who believed before we read [the Quran], and a people will come who will read [the Quran] before they believe." A man from the group said: "Is that the tribulation?" He said: "Yes, it has come to you from before you, from where your faces will be darkened. Then it will come to you continuously, like steady rain. A man will return and consult two matters: one of them is incapacity, and the other is wickedness." Kharasha said: I had not stayed but a little while until I saw a man go out with his sword, striking the people indiscriminately.
حدثنا عبد الله بن نمير قال حدثنا الصلت بن بهرام قال أخبرنا المنذر بن هوذة عن خرشة أن حذيفة دخل المسجد فمر على قوم يقرئ بعضهم بعضا فقال أن تكونوا على الطريقة لقد سبقتم سبقا بعيدا وأن تدعوه فقد ضللتم قال ثم جلس إلى حلقة فقال أنا كنا قوما آمنا قبل أن نقرأ وإن قوما سيقرأون قبل أن يؤمنوا فقال رجل من القوم تلك الفتنة قال أجل قد أتتكم من أمامكم حيث تسوء وجوهكم ثم لتأتينكم ديما ديما إن الرجل ليرجع فيأتمر الأمرين أحدهما عجز والآخر فجور قال خرشة فما برحت إلا قليلا حتى رأيت الرجل يخرج بسيفه يستعرض الناس
