Hadith 37:305
'Affan narrated to us, he said: Hammad ibn Salamah narrated to us, he said: Thabit informed us, from Ghalib ibn 'Ajrad, who said: I came to 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr, I and a companion of mine, while he was speaking to the people. He said: "From where are you two?" We said: "From the people of Basra." He said: "Then you must keep to its outskirts." When the people dispersed from him, we drew near to him and said: "We saw your statement 'From where are you two?' and your statement 'You must keep to its outskirts.' What did you mean?" He said: "Indeed, the abode, its kingdom and its surroundings are mixed with them [the people of corruption/fitna]." Thabit said: So Ghalib ibn 'Ajrad, whenever he would enter the Rahba, would hasten until he exited from it.
