Ahmad ibn Abd Allah narrated to us, from Abd al-Hamid ibn Bahram, who said: Shahr ibn Hawshab narrated to us, who said: Jundub ibn Sufyan narrated to me, from a man from Bajilah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There will be tribulations after me like pieces of the dark night. They will strike a man like the striking of the foreheads of powerful bulls. A man will wake up in them a Muslim and go to sleep a disbeliever, and he will go to sleep a Muslim and wake up a disbeliever." A man from the Muslims said: "O Messenger of Allah, what should we do at that time?" He said: "Enter your houses and keep your mention obscure." A man from the Muslims said: "What if one of us has his house entered upon?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Let him restrain his hands, and let him be the servant of Allah who is killed, and let him not be the servant of Allah who kills. For a man may be in the dome of Islam, yet he consumes the wealth of his brother, sheds his blood, disobeys his Lord, and disbelieves in his Creator, so Hell becomes incumbent upon him."
