Hadith 37:409
Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Talhah, from Khaythama, who said: Abdullah was reciting the Quran in the mosque, and he came upon this verse: "Like a crop that puts forth its shoot." Abdullah said: "You are the crop, and your harvest has drawn near." Then they mentioned the Dajjal in that gathering of theirs. Some of the people said: "We wish he would emerge so that we could pelt him with stones." Abdullah said: "You are saying [this], but by the One besides whom there is no god, if you heard of him in Babylon, one of you would come to him complaining of being barefoot from the speed [of his haste]."
حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن طلحة عن خيثمة قال كان عبد الله يقرأ القرآن في المسجد فأتى على هذه الآية @QB@ كزرع أخرج شطأه @QE@ فقال عبد الله أنتم الزرع وقد دنا حصادكم ثم ذكروا الدجال في مجلسهم ذلك فقال بعض القوم لوددنا أنه قد خرج حتى نرميه بالحجارة فقال عبد الله أنتم تقولون والذي لا إله غيره لو سمعتم به ببابل لأتاه أحدكم وهو يشكو إليه الحفا من السرعة
