Waki’ narrated to us, from Sufyan, from ‘Amr ibn Qays, from ‘Atiyyah, from Ibn ‘Umar regarding His saying: "And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them." He said: "That is when they do not enjoin what is good and do not forbid what is evil."
