Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 37:529

Abdullah ibn Numayr narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, he said: Salamah ibn Kuhayl narrated to us, from Abu al-Za’ra’, from Abdullah, that the Dajjal was mentioned in his presence. Abdullah said: "You will divide, O people, upon his emergence into three groups: a group that follows him, a group that joins the land of their fathers at the places where the wormwood grows, and a group that takes the bank of this Euphrates, so he will fight them and they will fight him, until the believers gather in the villages of Ash-Sham. They will send out a vanguard to him, among whom is a horseman on a chestnut horse or a piebald horse, and they will be killed; not one of them will return." Salamah said: Abu Sadiq narrated to me, from Rabi’ah ibn Najidh, that Abdullah said: "A chestnut horse." Then Abdullah said: "And the People of the Book claim that the Messiah, Isa ibn Maryam, will descend and kill him." Abu al-Za’ra’ said: "I did not hear Abdullah mention any hadith from the People of the Book other than this." He said: "Then Ya’juj and Ma’juj will emerge, and they will roam the earth and cause corruption in it." Then he recited: *'And they, from every elevated place, will descend.'* He said: "Then Allah will send upon them a creature like this *naghaf* (larvae), which will enter their ears and nostrils, and they will die from it." He said: "The earth will become foul-smelling from them, so they will cry out to Allah, and He will send upon them water that will cleanse the earth of them." He said: "Then Allah will send a freezing, cold wind, and it will not leave a single believer on the earth but that wind will take his soul." He said: "Then the Hour will be established upon the worst of people." He said: "Then an angel will stand between the heaven and the earth with the Trumpet (*Sur*), and he will blow into it." He said: "And the Trumpet is a horn." He said: "Then no creature of Allah in the heavens or on the earth will remain except that he dies, except for whom your Lord wills." He said: "Then there will be between the two blowings whatever Allah wills there to be." He said: "Then Allah will send down water from beneath the Throne like the semen of men. There is no creature of the sons of Adam but that there is something of him in the earth." He said: "Then their bodies and their flesh will grow from that water just as the earth grows from the soil." Then Abdullah recited: *'It is He who sends the winds, bringing good tidings before His mercy, until, when they have carried heavy clouds, We drive them to a dead land and We send down rain therein and bring forth thereby [some] of all the fruits. Thus will We bring forth the dead; perhaps you may remember.'* He said: "Then an angel will stand between the heaven and the earth with the Trumpet, and he will blow into it." He said: "Then every soul will go to its body and enter it." He said: "Then they will stand up, and they will be revived as one man, standing for the Lord of the Worlds." He said: "Then Allah will manifest Himself to the creation and meet them. There is no one among the creation who used to worship something other than Allah but that it will be raised up for him, and he will follow it. He will meet the Jews and say: 'Whom do you worship?' They will say: 'We worship Uzayr.' He will say: 'Would it please you to have water?' They will say: 'Yes.' He will show them Hell, and it will be like a mirage." Then Abdullah recited: *'And We will present Hell that Day to the Disbelievers, in display.'* "Then He will meet the Christians and say: 'Whom do you worship?' They will say: 'We worship the Messiah.' He will say: 'Would it please you to have water?' They will say: 'Yes.' He will show them Hell, and it will be like a mirage." He said: "Then it will be the same for everyone who used to worship something other than Allah." Then Abdullah recited: *'Stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned.'* "Until the Muslims pass by, and He will say: 'Whom do you worship?' They will say: 'We worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him.' He will say: 'Do you recognize your Lord?' They will say: 'Glory be to Him; if He makes Himself known to us, we will recognize Him.' He said: 'At that moment, the Shin will be uncovered, and no one will remain but that he will fall down prostrate to Allah. And the hypocrites will remain, their backs being one solid plate, as if there were skewers in them.'" He said: "He will say: 'You used to be called to prostrate while you were sound.' And Allah will command the Bridge (*Sirat*), and it will be set up over Hell." He said: "People will pass in groups according to their deeds. The first of them will be like the flash of lightning, then like the rushing wind, then like the birds, then like the fastest of beasts. Then it will be like that until a man passes by running, and until a man passes by walking, and until the last of them will be a man crawling on his stomach. He will say: 'You have slowed me down.' He will say: 'I did not slow you down; your deeds have slowed you down.'" He said: "Then Allah will grant permission for intercession. The first intercessor on the Day of Resurrection will be the Holy Spirit, Jibril, then Ibrahim, the Friend of the Most Merciful, then Musa or Isa—I do not know, Musa or Isa—then your Prophet will stand fourth. No one will intercede after him regarding what he interceded for, and that is the Praiseworthy Station (*al-Maqam al-Mahmud*) which Allah mentioned: *'It may be that your Lord will raise you to a Praiseworthy Station.'*" "There is no soul but that it looks at a house in the Fire or a house in Paradise, and it is the Day of Regret. The people of the Fire will see the house that is in Paradise, and it will be said: 'If only you had done [good deeds],' and regret will seize them. And the people of Paradise will see the house that is in the Fire, and they will say: 'Had it not been for Allah’s favor upon us, we would have been swallowed up.'" He said: "Then the angels, the prophets, the martyrs, the righteous, and the believers will intercede, and Allah will accept their intercession." He said: "Then He will say: 'I am the Most Merciful of the merciful.' Then He will bring out of the Fire more than He brought out of all the creation by His mercy, until He does not leave in it anyone who has any good in him." Then Abdullah recited: *'What has put you into Saqar?'* He said: "And he began to count, until he counted four: *'They will say: We were not of those who prayed, nor did we use to feed the poor. And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], and we used to deny the Day of Recompense, until there came to us the certainty. So there will not benefit them the intercession of any intercessors.'*" Then Abdullah said: "Do you see any good in these? He will not leave in it anyone who has any good in him. And when Allah wills not to bring anyone out of it, He will change their faces and their colors. Then a man from the believers will come and say: 'O Lord!' He will say: 'Whoever recognizes anyone, let him bring him out.' He said: 'He will come and look, but he will not recognize anyone.' He said: 'Then the man will call out to him: O so-and-so, I am so-and-so! He will say: I do not recognize you.' He said: 'At that moment, they will say: *Our Lord, remove us from it, and if we were to return [to sin], we would indeed be wrongdoers.*' He said: 'He will say at that moment: *Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me.*' He said: 'When He says that, it will be closed upon them, and not a single human being will come out of it.'"
