Hadith 37:59
Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Zayd, who said: When the day of al-Jur'ah arrived, it was said to Hudhayfah, "Will you not go out with the people?" He said, "What would make me go out with them? I already know that they will not shed a cupping-glass worth of blood among themselves until they return." And there was mentioned in the hadith of al-Jur'ah much speech that I would not like to have in exchange for what is in your house. Indeed, the tribulation (fitnah) looks out for whoever looks out for it.
حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن زيد قال لما كان يوم الجرعة قيل لحذيفة ألا تخرج مع الناس قال ما يخرجني معهم قد علمت أنهم لم يهريقوا بينهم محجما من دم حتى يرجعوا ولقد ذكر في حديث الجرعة حديث كثير ما أحب أن لي به ما في بيتكم إن الفتنة تستشرف من استشرف لها
