Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 37:604

Abu al-Muwarra' narrated to us, he said: Al-'Ala' ibn 'Abd al-Karim informed us, from 'Umayrah ibn Sa'd, who said: When Talhah and al-Zubayr and those with them arrived, a man stood up in a gathering of people and said: "I am so-and-so, son of so-and-so, one of the Banu Jusham." He said: "Indeed, these people who have come to you—if their concern is only fear, then they have come from where even the birds are safe. And if their concern is only the killing of 'Uthman, then they are the ones who killed him. And the opinion regarding them is that their mounts should be made to sink with them until they depart."
