Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 37:611

Abu Usama narrated to us, from Awf, from Ziyad ibn Mikhraq, from Abu Kinana, from Abu Musa, who said: The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, stood at the door of a house in which there was a group of Quraysh. He said: "This matter [of authority] shall remain with Quraysh as long as they show mercy when asked for mercy, act justly when they judge, and act equitably when they divide. Whoever among them does not do that, then upon him is the curse of Allah, the angels, and all of mankind; neither repentance nor ransom shall be accepted from him."
