Hadith 37:628
Yazid ibn Harun narrated to us, he said: Sharik informed us, from Abu al-Yaqzan, from Zadhan, from 'Alim, who said: We were with him on a roof, and with him was a man from the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, during the days of the plague. The pigs began to pass by, so he said: "O plague, take me." 'Alim said: "Did the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, not say: 'None of you should wish for death, for when he dies, his deeds are cut off, and he will not be returned so that he may seek to please [God]?'" He said: "I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: 'Hasten to death before six things: the rule of the foolish, the abundance of police, the selling of judgment, the trivialization of blood, and the emergence of a generation who take the Quran as musical instruments; they put one forward to sing for them, even if he is the least of them in understanding.'"
حدثنا يزيد بن هارون قال أخبرنا شريك عن أبي اليقظان عن زاذان عن عليم قال كنا معه على سطح ومعه رجل من أصحاب النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في أيام الطاعون فجعلت الخنازير تمر فقال يا طاعون خذني قال فقال عليم ألم يقل رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لا يتمنين أحدكم الموت فإنه عند انقطاع عمله ولا يرد فيستعتبه فقال سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول بادروا بالموت ستا إمرة السفهاء وكثرة الشرط وبيع الحكم واستخفافا بالدم ونشوءا يتخذون القرآن مزامير يقدمونه ليغنيهم وإن كان أقلهم فقها
