Yahya ibn Abi Kathir narrated to us, he said: al-Tayyah ibn Bistam al-Hanzali narrated to us, he said: Layth ibn Abi Sulaym narrated to us, from Tawus, from Ibn Abbas, he said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) said: "There will be leaders whom you will recognize and [others whom you will] reject. Whoever opposes them [or: keeps his distance from them] will be saved, and whoever isolates himself from them will be safe, or nearly so, and whoever mingles with them will perish."
