Hadith 37:83
Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, from al-A'mash, from Zayd ibn Wahb, from Abdullah, who said: When Uthman sent to him ordering him to depart to Medina, the people gathered around him and said to him: "Stay, do not depart, for we will protect you; nothing you dislike will reach you from him." Abdullah said: "There will be matters and tribulations, and I do not like to be the first one to open them while I have the capacity [to avoid it]." He said: So he turned the people away and departed to him.
حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن زيد بن وهب عن عبد الله قال لما بعث عثمان إليه يأمره بالخروج إلى المدينة اجتمع الناس إليه فقالوا له أقم لا تخرج فنحن نمنعك لا يصل إليك منه شيء تكرهه فقال عبد الله إنها ستكون أمور وفتن لا أحب أن أكون أنا أول من فتحها وله علي طاقة قال فرد الناس وخرج إليه
