Hadith 37:96
Abu Usama narrated to us, from al-Ajalih, from Qays ibn Abi Muslim, from Rib'i, from Hudhayfah, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) set forth for us examples: one, three, five, seven, nine, and eleven. He explained one of them to us and remained silent about the rest. He said: "There was a people who were people of weakness and poverty, and they fought a people who were people of cunning and hostility. They overcame them, then employed them and gave them authority, so they angered their Lord against them."
