Ibn Idris narrated to us, from Isma'il, from Hakim ibn Jabir, who said: Hudhayfah said: "The most proficient of people in recitation is the hypocrite who does not leave out a 'waw' nor an 'alif'; he rolls it [the Quran] as cows roll their tongues, [but] it does not pass his collarbone."
