Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 22:132

Yahya ibn Sa'id al-Qattan narrated to us, from al-Taymi, from a man, from Abu al-'Aliyah, that: When he intended to complete the Quran at the end of the day, he would delay it until evening. And when he intended to complete it at the end of the night, he would delay it until morning.
